Over four weeks, Makers students take on creative engineering and design challenges that encourage problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation. Through engaging, project-based activities, students explore engineering concepts while designing, building, testing, and refining their own solutions using a variety of materials.
Guided by experienced instructors, students learn to approach challenges using design-thinking strategies while developing critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. Every challenge encourages students to think beyond the first solution, test their ideas, and make improvements along the way.
Whether they're designing a marble run, building a cantilever, or competing in a creative engineering challenge, Makers gives students the opportunity to turn ideas into solutions while building confidence and discovering the innovative Maker in every student.

Using Charter Funds
For the 2026 - 2027 school year, we are currently approved service vendors with Blue Ridge Academy, Golden Valley Charter School, and River Oaks Academy. If your child is enrolled with another charter school, we're always open to submitting the required information to become approved service vendors elsewhere -- just reach out!
- Create an Account — Select the 👤 icon in the top-right corner of our website to create a family account.
- Tell Us You’re a Charter Family — After creating your account, let us know which charter organization you’re enrolled with. We’ll verify your enrollment and provide access to charter fund payment options.
- Choose Your Class — Browse our available classes, select the class you’d like to attend, and add it to your cart.
- Select “Purchase Order” at Checkout — At checkout, select Purchase Order as your payment method.
- Submit Your Charter Approval — Once we receive your approved Purchase Order (PO) or enrichment certificate from your charter, we’ll confirm your order.
You can also send proof of approval to billing@ehdw.com, and we’ll verify it once we receive it on our end.
Classroom Policy
For the safety of all participants and to minimize distractions, only registered students and one accompanying adult (if desired) may be present during instruction. Siblings, friends, and other non-participating children are not permitted in the classroom.
Cancellation Policy
If your child can no longer attend class, we ask that you provide us with 24 hours advance notice for a full refund. If a class has fewer than 7 students registered, we may need to cancel that class — you’ll be offered a spot in another session, a credit, or a full refund. Please email classes@ehdw.com to communicate any rescheduling or cancellation requests.
