Schools & After-School Programs
We partner with schools, districts, and after-school programs (including ASES and ELO-P) to bring hands-on DIY Builders, Makers, and Grow-It-Yourself classes to students during and after the school day. We can either provide instructors or professional development so your existing staff can safely and successfully deliver programs themselves. We also offer field trips to our workshop in Oxnard, CA where students gain exposure to real career pathways in the skilled trades, manufacturing & engineering, and agriculture fields.

We work with charter schools as both a service vendor (instructors and program delivery) and a product vendor (project kits families can purchase directly). Classes may be hosted at a charter learning center or at our workshop in Oxnard, CA. Contact us to see if we're an approved vendor with your charter school or recommend us as a vendor so your child can access our programs.

We Provide Direct Student Instruction
EHDW instructors complete required background clearances, health screenings, and maintain applicable safety training and certifications before working directly with students. Our staffing standards are designed to meet California school-site and expanded-learning requirements, as well as partner-specific certification and paraprofessional requirements. We offer classes at our workshop in Oxnard, CA and build and maintain regional instructional staff to deliver on-site programs.
We Train Your Staff
Looking to build internal capacity? We provide in-person or virtual professional development and deliver curriculum and hands-on materials to your program sites.
DIY Builders Project Kits by the Class Set
Purchase DIY Builders Woodworking & Electrical project kits by the class set and run the program yourself. Choose from 40+ DIY Builders projects at a range of difficulty levels. Every class set includes assembly & safety supplies (wood glue, sandpaper, safety glasses, and more), printed & digital lesson plans, and step-by-step video instructions.
