DIY Whiteboard
Level: Beginner
Beginner projects can typically be completed with little tooling (if any). Assembly can be completed in 20 - 45 minutes, and we recommend 45 - 60 minutes for planning and personalization. This project is appropriate for students in grades 1 and above.
Objective: Construct a DIY whiteboard
Students will use basic carpentry skills to build their very own DIY whiteboard. Students will have an opportunity to get creative and decorate their whiteboards, making them a perfect item to draw on or list their household chores and homework to-do’s!
Instructors then have an opportunity to reinforce learnings on telling time by prompting questions such as:
Why was it so important to align your whiteboard parts during assembly?
What are you going to write or draw on your whiteboard?
Where are you going to hang your whiteboard?
