DIY LED Tea Light Candle Holder
Level: Beginner
Beginner projects can typically be completed with little tooling (if any). Assembly can be completed in 20 - 45 minutes, and we recommend 60 - 90 minutes for planning and personalization. This project is appropriate for students in grades 1 and above.
Objective: Construct a DIY LED tea light candle holder
Students will use basic carpentry skills to build their very own DIY LED tea light candle holder. Students will have an opportunity to get creative and decorate their candle holders, making them a perfect gift or centerpiece for the dinner table.
Instructors then have an opportunity to reinforce learnings by prompting questions such as:
Why was sanding the wood pieces an important step?
Why do you think we are using LED candles instead of real candles?
What did you learn about driving a nail when you assembled the feet to the base?
How was this project different from or the same as other projects you have built?
