DIY Fairy Light Bottle
Glass or Plastic
Level: Beginner
Beginner projects can typically be completed with little tooling (if any). Assembly can be completed in 20 - 45 minutes, and we recommend 60 - 90 minutes for planning and personalization. This glass version of this project is appropriate for students in grades 3 and above, while the plastic version of this project is appropriate for students in grade K - 2.
Objective: Assemble a DIY fairy light bottle
Students will use basic electrical skills to assemble their very own DIY fairy light bottle. Students will have an opportunity to get creative and decorate their fairy light bottles, making them a perfect gift or decoration for their room.
Instructors then have an opportunity to reinforce learnings by prompting questions such as:
What skills were required for you to assemble the fairy light bottle?
What is an electrical circuit?
How was this project different from or the same as other projects you have built?
